

Michael MacPhail is an architect and educator who appreciates energy-efficient, craft-based solutions when designing livable and accessible spaces. He experience in education and practice include leading a successful program as Chair of Architecture at the Wentworth Institute of Technology, managing the design team as the Director of Design at the Cambridge Innovation Center, and serving as Director of Administration at the Harvard Center for Green Buildings and Cities. Michael has a Master of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) and is a registered architect in the state of Massachusetts.
As the CEO and principal at dEmios Architects, Katharine White MacPhail is a LEED accredited, registered architect in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She has a Master of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) and her current research focus in on integrating sustainable building and landscape practices into residential projects of all sizes. Katharine also has a popular podcast "Talking Home Renovations with the House Maven" and enjoys helping people and clients navigate the sometimes complex challenges of renovating and restoring existing homes.
